I have 1 years experience as a manufacturing engineer at Thermo King Galway. My responsibility’s and activities were as follows: • Communicating with operators daily, using engineering knowledge and innovative engineering methods to solve issues and improve production line operations.• Planned and executed a production line increase project which implemented five new workstations and increased production from 40 to 48 units per day.• Applied project management metrics and tools in oversight of engineering and manufacturing projects. • Oversaw the planning, development and implementation of a dule soldering station and overhead crane system which resulted in a 20% floor space footprint decrease from the previous layout.• Participated in 3 rapid improvement events focused on improving quality and efficiency through work cell layout changes, safety, and ergonomic improvements. • Drove reliability and profitability through introduction of lean system.• Designed and built process tooling and insert moulds.• Identified problems and specific resolutions to fix defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment and systems.• Used lean manufacturing principles to develop, evaluate and improve operations on the production line to eliminate variation and reduce takt misses. • Implemented and presented over 90 kaizen to the plant manager, focusing on continuous improvement, including: standard work creation, work content balancing, critical process changes related to production quality and the design and implementation of new tools to promote productivity.

I was again selected to join the development squad that would would produce the final 12 players that would represent Ireland in the 2016 European U18 Basketball Championships that would be held in the city of Skopje, Macedonia during July August 2016. I was honoured to be picked as one of the 12 from a very talented group of guys to represented Ireland in these championships. I hope to do my country, club, coaches over the years, family and friends proud.
