CurrentMy core responsibilities include preparing, analyzing, and compiling outage data for the Reliability department at SDG&E. I produce essential metrics which are used to track company performance. Furthermore, I slice and dice data for various departments. Most notably, our analytics are key to the project planning department when deciding what areas to focus on in the future so we can best improve our service.In 2017, I was pulled to correct a large budgetary issue for our department. Due to changes in the way field technicians reported information, we found out late in 2017 that over $5 million had been misallocated from a crucial budget. To correct this, I created a custom database which compared a significant identifier found across multiple databases to vet data and identify errors.In 2018, my role expanded again to include process improvement. I act as a liaison between my department and distribution operations which produces nearly all the raw data for our group. I've been reviewing all unplanned outages in San Deigo county as they come in, recording any operation errors and using the data to improve operator performance and, in turn, our data quality.
