I was in charge of the tissue sampling program. I collected samples out of 80 fields planted in cotton, soybeans, peanuts, or corn to send to the lab for analysis. I would then return the lab results to the grower.I also had the opportunity to help the office coordinator. I would match delivery tickets, and then prepare, file, and mail invoices.

I participated in a one day externship program. During desk-side shadowing I observed the daily pricing of the net asset value for each security and mutual fund. I also observed the process of calculating dividends to be distributed.

I was a intern for the Accounts Payable Department and Risk Management Department. In the Accounts Payable Department I was responsible for recording daily journal entries into SAP for wire transfers, recording and depositing funds daily, running and distributing monthly departmental expense reports, and preparing all recorded vouchers and journal entries.

While the owner is on vacation a week each summer, I run the barn with 19 horses. This requires providing all the daily care for each horse, starting at 4am and often not ending until after 6pm each day. I have done this for four summers. I still work on days while I am at home from school if needed.

I babysat four girls ages 3, 6, 8, and 13. I would take them home from school twice a week and I would make sure that all of their homework got competed correctly.

Darden's Country Store is a small county store that specializes in salt cured country hams. While working there I developed customer service skills while interacting with customers, both in person and over the phone. I was responsible for cleaning up each day, restocking shelves, preparing food, along with slicing and packing ham. I have continued to work.

I would help tutor Colin in Geometry for approximately four hours a week. We would review his daily quizzes and work on his homework assignments.

Two afternoons a week, I would clean 5 horse stalls and then straighten up the barn.
