I am The Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation's Collections Manager, dealing with the day-to-day care of Ray Harryhausen's archive. My responsibilities include the cataloguing, digitisation and conservation of the collection, as well as promoting the awareness of Ray's work and legacy through worldwide exhibitions and events. Alongside administering and managing the Foundation's physical archive and database, I am responsible for promoting their objectives through social media, short films, podcasts and other media.

- Imagery production assistant within the National Collection of Aerial Photography. I have previously been responsible for the digitisation and cataloguing of two major collections within the National Collection of Aerial Photography. My initial 9 month project was spent preparing material from the Directorate of Overseas Survey collection for use in a Creative Scotland funded documentary which was screened at major exhibitions in the lead up to the 2014 Commonwealth Games. - From June I then worked upon the Aerofilms and Aeropictorial collections which were eventually showcased on the Britain from Above website. The end result was the photography and cataloguing of over 7,000 archive items, as well as research into the history of these collections. -Since November 2014, I have worked in NCAP’s imagery production department, preparing and scanning imagery for public and commercial orders.

- Responsible for opening and closing a busy city centre store, as well as managing shifts and handling cash. Duties include organising and motivating a team, training staff, customer service and communicating with managers and company directors.- Initiated events outwith the store, including arranging promotional events within local gyms and health food festivals. This required mediation between local businesses and my own employers, in order to stage public exhibitions which were beneficial to the interests of both parties.

- Responsible for a wide range of duties within the collections department, giving me a great insight into the record held by RCAHMS, the nature of the ORACLE database, and cataloguing procedures. I have also gained experience of rehousing archived material into high quality packaging, as well as preventative conservation and archival housekeeping. Throughout my employment I was required to prepare regular reports on the progress of my various projects.- I trained and supervised several volunteers taking part in an Archaeological cataloguing project, utilising the strategies for completion I developed whilst volunteering. This required me to have sufficient proficiency in the use of ORACLE to guide volunteers in their task. A great deal of care was required to explain the project’s purpose and methodology clearly, as well as ensuring that they were sufficiently motivated to return over the course of several months. -Supervised the public Search Room desk, dealing with public enquiries and engaging with the research of various individuals and groups. I was responsible for retrieving a wide range of items from the RCAHMS collection, including archaeological archives, drawings, rare books and photographs. Initial explanation on how to use the RCAHMS database Canmore was often required in order to assist members of the public on how to research material from the collections.
