Upon entering the freight industry in 2018, i have gained extensive experience and insider knowledge into the workings of the industry and how to utilize this for my clients. During my time working at International Delivery Service (IDS) I have had the opportunity to start from the bottom and work my way up through warehouse, operations, and business development roles. My background is heavily operational based, focusing on imports – both Air and Sea. I have had the absolute pleasure of managing a large portfolio of clients in which I manage freight movements both domestically and internationally as freight operations / customer service. My passion for the industry first evolved from my bedroom back in 2017 where I ran a small business importing goods as a side hobby whilst studying and working. From there I enrolled in the Diploma of Customs Brokering with the CBFCA (Custom Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia. Whilst I later realised that being a broker was not for me – the teachings that I learnt have provided me with a competitive advantage in my career allowing me to both understand and advise on the complex customs issues. This industry is constantly changing and evolving in all aspects – I live by the motto that you are never to experienced to learn something new. This constant change brings something new across my desk and always keeping me on my toe’s.
