As a Sales Rep for Virgin Mobile I was required to sell, sell, sell! My position also included relationship building, cold calling, troubleshooting common phone issues, and locking/unlocking the store. I worked under Lindsay Jones (#1 Sales Rep in the country for 2 years straight) and learned as much as I could from her. With her coaching and my ambition I went from no experience in sales to top 5 in Eastern Canada within my first 6 months at Virgin. I've moved on from the position to focus on my studies; however, I developed excellent sales and persuasion skills at this job and look forward to applying them elsewhere!

As a crew boss for Student Works I was responsible for marketing (home shows, door to door), helping with estimates, managing a crew of painters, painting (interiors, exteriors, and decks), and being the primary source of communication for customers. Working at Student Works taught me customer relations skills. As the primary point of contact between my superiors and customers, I was responsible for accurately relaying information and handling requests or concerns first hand.Furthermore, I developed a strong work ethic at Student Works Painting. As we were doing piece work and my crew was motivated, we frequently worked twelve hour days in the hot sun, on roofs, or in tight spaces. This experience along with my experience growing up on a farm moulded me into a hard and focused worker.Finally, being a crew boss for Student Works Painting developed my abilities to take initiative and work without supervision. I was responsible for picking up the correct supplies, coordinating rides for my painters, and supervising job sites.
