Gaining relevant experience of working in a general accounting practice enabled me to gain full time employment at JRD Partnership. My experience so far within the practice has been extremely interesting and my knowledge grows every day. My responsibilities include:• Preparing annual accounts effectively through IRIS for numerous types of companies including sole traders, partnerships, Limited companies and charities.o Involved in the preparation of said accounts are the accurate analysis of the fixed asset register, wages, detailed vat analysis and bank and cashbook reconciliation.• Finalising account to be sent to client for approval• Liaising with clients to help find missing information and answer queries if required• Aiding colleagues when required.• The submission of CS01 confirmation statements.I am currently undergoing Tax Training on both the Personal Tax and Business Tax programmes in IRIS to help aid the firm to meet the January 31st deadlines for Tax returns and I’m enjoying the wide range of experience I am gaining.

I sought out a work placement to gain vital experience in the accounting field to better my understanding of the industry I wish to have a career in. My roles and responsibilities differentiate each day such as:• Supporting the business by assisting to produce accurate financial accounting information on which financial decisions are made• Working to strict deadlines• Undertaking clients bank reconciliations to ensure that a company's cash records are correct • Ensuring that information is accurately collected and entered onto the system.• Assisting the firm on any duties they require me to fulfil.

Throughout my further education years I worked part-time at retailer Asda. some of my notable responsibilities have been as follows:● Answered queries from customers regarding the store and its merchandise● Greeted customers and ensured their needs are attended to● Experience in cash handling● Maintained positive customer satisfaction through good, pleasant customer service.● Training other members of staff● Going above and beyond my role to assist when the shop is under pressure
