Here I was doing the down and dirty manual labor that goes into building homes. Everything from digging holes for gas and power to framing wall. Throughout the two summers as a laborer I was able to gain an extremely strong work ethic that has carried over into everything I do. From waking up before the sun to working till it goes down. I enjoyed every minute of these summers, getting to be hands on and seeing my contributions help build houses for the customers. I gained skills that will help me later on in life when I purchase my own house.•Contributed to the building process of over 15 homes in 2013 and over 20 in 2012.•Worked as a member of a team that finished tasks on (and often ahead of) schedule. •Eliminated unnecessary time to perform routine tasks by establishing new methods of execution resulting in more efficient work.

The reason I got this job was my initial work for Subway through my retail operations class in high school. I managed the student store and contacted the owner of a local subway to ask if they would sell us sandwiches so we could provide students with a healthier lunch option.
