My Co-Op at Emerson is a three rotation co-op where I will spend time in three different areas of the company.Rotation 2 (Summer 2016): Supplier Performance Engineering• Led a cross-functional effort to gather missing documentation from approval agency audit findings. • Led an improvement project that saw significant time and cost savings with our first article sampling process.• Developed materials teaching ASME calibration standards to our global sites.• Developed a tooling health card to help our global suppliers monitor tools used in plastic injection molding, preventing future quality issues.Rotation 1 (Summer 2015) : Manufacturing DP Flow Final Assembly• Created a way to measure important metrics of a new product line so that areas of improvement could be discovered.• Helped design and implement a new laser tagging process globally.• Improved first pass yield data in the calibration stations via extensive data analysis.• Improved storage of cardboard in the DP Flow area.
