My goal now that I have completed my undergrad at Utah State is to gain experience within the sales world. I am pursuing a career in sales and know I need to build experience and sharpen my skills to continue to move up in that department. I am currently working on that within the customer loyalty team at Vivint where I experience the hardest part of sales, which is selling to people who are unhappy with their current situation and typically want to cancel services with our company. Within this team, we work on de-escalation, problem-solving, and finding a solution to what seems like an impossible task. It is difficult to sell our product when the initial call was to cancel the services, but through patience and understanding, I find myself working on each of the skills I previously listed. I was at the top of my training class and looking to continue that success throughout my first couple of months within this job. As a part-time job, I officiate high school volleyball and basketball and because of this opportunity, I am able to work on one of the most important skills, communication. My communication skills are continuously tested as a high school volleyball and basketball official because I need to be able to work with a new partner each game, communicate to both coaches disagreeable calls, and work with younger athletes to accomplish our goal of running a clean organized game. I consider myself a great team player, but always looking to improve. Others would agree with the fact that through my teamwork I hold my coworkers along with myself accountable to a higher standard. Time and time again I have shown my dedication and resilience through each job I have had and all my managers and coworkers would convey the same idea. Overall, I am striving every day to improve my skills, mindset, and community by bettering myself. My goal is to find a career where I can use my excellent people skills and aspiration of helping my community in each and every way I can.
