Responsible for the planning and coordination of IT projects for NRLFO employees at the Kesselring & Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories in upstate New York. The favorite part of my job is the interactions with the people of NRLFO. They are a great bunch. Daily Duties:- Plans IT projects and coordinates efforts between technical teams to complete mission objectives in a timely manner.- Produces technical writings of SOPS, HRPS, and guides for users.- Manages phone lines, IT procurement, & provisioning of devices.- Acts as the primary POC for NRLFO users regarding all things IT.- Participates in meetings as a technical expert for the onsite computer networks.- Manages NRLFO IT Inventory and issuance of mobile and stationary IT devices to users.- Handles the onboarding and offboarding of employees, conducts security briefs. - Provides technical support for unclassified and classified networks onsite.

I am the only onsite IT professional for my computer network at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory and Kesselring Atomic Power Laboratory in upstate NY.For this position, I am expected to manage all facets of my network. Daily Duties:• Participates as a technical expert on a wide range of meetings including (policy development, project expectations, and change management) etc.• Assures the proper tracking, tagging, and documentation of all IT assets related to my network.• Configures and installs networking equipment onsite to meet compliance standards.• Manges the administration of user accounts, permissions, email encryption accounts, RSA token accounts, and MDM.• Provisions all IT equipment for users related to my network (iPhones, iPad, laptops) etc.• Expected to solve all onsite IT support issues without any assistance.

Management Duties:• Assigns weekly secondary responsibilities to the hardware technicians. • Assigns work orders to technicians and handles disputes among the team.• Creates standard operating procedures and orders new inventory. • Oversees the training of new employees with regards to remedy ticketing system, all classified and unclassified work, security procedures, customer interaction, and excessing procedures. • Participates in monthly site-lead technician meetings. • Oversees the completion of daily paperwork necessary to keep operations running smoothly. • Participates in planning work with Asset Management. • Makes decisions regarding the management of our inventory room.• Promoted a team culture that has raised the standards of our service to new heights.Ideas and procedures pioneered at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory:• The excess procedure for the disposal of all classified and unclassified material at Knolls. • The creation of a file structure on the shared drive to allow for systematic processing of excess documentation. • The redesign of the inventory room and storing practices to maximize efficiency, usability, and utility.
