As a Quality Engineer, I have a broad remit dealing with many aspects of Customer, Supplier and Production interface. Current responsibilities are:- Supplier Complaint Management - Raising complaints, monitoring and maintaining responsibility for addressing supplier issues affecting plant issues. Evaluating 8D methods and agreeing development plans to bring Supplier into conformance with expectations. Coaching expectations and usage of improvement techniques is part of this role, as is supporting incoming engineering change through reviewing PPAP documentation, analysis of measurement reports and adherence to plan.- Production support, inclusive of mentoring and coaching in the Business Operating System and associated standards. - Responsible for the training of Quality Standards for Self and Final Inspection, and generating the associated standards required. This is inclusive of updating and training out Gauge usage.- Responsible for addressing Customer complaints or concerns through 8D or quick Corrective Action process. This is inclusive of providing status reports to customer and plant team, as well as liaising with cross functional teams to address the concerns.- Help drive the problem solving process (QPS Methodology) employing Quick problem solving as well as 8D methodologies for internal issues.- Designated QPS Facilitator, training and coaching in the use of 8D methodology. Part of the global networking group tasked to address the Top 6 issues affecting Scrap, and Top 5 Customer Complaint types across the group.- SAP IQOS Key User: Responsible to maintain and coach appropriate usage of the SAP Complaint management system at plant level.- Responsible for monitoring and addressing Blocked Stock within SAP. Also supporting where required with SAP transaction and movement experience to ensure correct process and accuracy is maintained.

Responsible for the PPAP generation for a number of OEMs predominantly over exhaust systems. Responsible for generating and maintaining control plans, as well as assisting with current quality issues that may arise within the exhaust commodity.In addition, the role has requires me to take responsibility for Supplier APQP across the range of projects for exhausts.Recently (August 2013) I have taken over PPAP and Supplier APQP responsibility for a number of Engine Components projects.

Assisted the Project Manager in successfully managing to completion small to medium sized projects, as well as smaller programmes. Co-ordinated manufacturing feasibility reviews, incorporating drawing reviews to enable ERN release, as well as feasibility for current product and process modification. Was responsible for verifying internal programme timing plan progress, as well as presenting programme status with CIM database deliverables for each department and gateway.I was an Employee Forum representative, relaying employees concerns and questions to middle and senior management with aims of coming to a preferable solution. I also gained Internal Environmental Auditor training to assist with the Health and Safety management of the site,I continued working alongside Coundon Court School as an Engineering Mentor with the Engineering Education scheme, and have done so for the past two years. This involved selecting a real-world, manageable project for young people aspiring for a career in a STEM subject, mentoring and assisting in developing their problem solving and engineering knowledge.

Developed as a Maintenance engineer, becoming multi skilled with electrical and mechanical reactive breakdown, as well as gaining valuable skills in machine installation and running. I earnt two awards during my training, and reached the Coventry Freeman's Guild Apprentice of the Year finals.Lean skills were a large part of my development within this role, gaining experience in a number of techniques including CPS, Standardisation, Communication and Visual Management. I lead on a cell specific TPM project delivering the training to the operators, and facilitated the improvement actions. I also implemented Autonomous maintenance on a number of machines. My role was to also update and analyse key area metrics, cumulating into producing new area metric to focus on downtime reduction.During this time I began working with the Engineering Education Scheme, and became a STEM Ambassador. This allowed me to share my experience and mentor young people who have an interest in STEM subjects
