Develops Data Reports: Participates in creating, modifying, distributing, troubleshooting, and documenting of recurring and ad hoc reports used for business purposes. Tests, maintains, modifies, and performs basic queries for business applications used by Underwriting, Business Managers, and other internal and external Business Partners. Assists with programming new business reports and applications. Applies knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and principles of finance and business to develop reports. Consults with Management on changes needed to the reports and complex problems. Develops understanding of internal data structures to develop data solutions. Ensures Data Integrity: Participates in the methods and procedures to verify, maintain, and update the data in the Data Warehouse and reports. Scrutinizes the data for integrity and determines if better methodologies can be found. Supports and follows best practices for secure coding and handling of data. Consults with Management to determine if changes should be made when better ways or problems are found. The activities include but are not limited to the following: • Modifying and running queries daily to determine if the data is accurate. Communicating issues to Management so that problems can be resolved.• Creating and maintaining comparisons between data sets and software applications. Developing a significant understanding of the data and its meaning from a business perspective and the relationships between different data sources.• Scrutinizing data for integrity and reasonability.Maintains Data Pipelines: Maintains code and scripts to build data sets to automate ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes and data transmission between our rating and issuance systems, mainframe, and other applications as well as with third party software. Uses understanding of business and technical requirements to accurately extract, transform, and load data between various sources.

Worked on multiple queries within the SSMS framework to deliver accurate information to a third party company called Verisk so they could send this information to the Department of Transportation and make sure states knew who's auto insurance policies were in force or not. Also, I work within the Agile Framework through Azure Devops and have worked with creating cards on the board, joining agile ceremonies and more. On top of that, I have been a part of an intern rotation where I taught interns to use the basics of SSMS, and how to write basic queries using our internal tables. I also taught them to use Microsoft BI and utilize the queries we created to generate graphs and produce a mock data report for the Marketing department.

When it was in person I helped set up labs and oversaw multiple groups of students as they conducted basic physics experiments. I taught them the proper mathematics as well as connected these simple ideas to larger phenomena. I also graded their labs and conducted a midterm and final for the class. I left because I had graduated University.
