About Connor Taylor

At ImpactAssets, I lead new investment pipeline management and transactions for the $1.2B private investment portfolio.I was drawn to the challenges and need for innovation in the healthcare industry which led me to Sedera, an early-stage healthcare fintech where I oversaw financial planning and analysis as well as business intelligence. I also supported a venture capital studio, Design Run Group, which partners with health organizations to create new companies that build innovative human-centered solutions to serve the health & wellness needs of vulnerable communities.I joined the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in the summer of 2020 as they committed $100M for COVID response efforts. In my role, I was involved in administering a COVID-19 Loan Portfolio and a Market Based Solutions Portfolio by building out sourcing strategies, conducting due diligence on deal flow, reviewing term sheets and loan agreements in closing transactions, and providing portfolio support and management.I am an MBA graduate from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business where I concentrated on Venture Capital/Private Equity, Finance, Social Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship.During my full-time MBA program, I was chosen for a highly selective venture capital/private equity fellowship which led to my working at an ESG-focused private market investment manager, Stafford Capital Partners. During my time at Stafford, I worked on deal sourcing, due diligence of potential investments, building financial models, and providing ESG research for Stafford's $200M private equity fund. Also during my MBA program, I joined the founding partners of Cornerstone M&A Advisors in starting a lower middle market investment bank/M&A advisory firm where I served as the VP of Operations.Prior to pursuing my MBA, I worked at Dimensional Fund Advisors in their Consultant Relations/Institutional Services Department along with focusing on socially responsible investing within the Asset Class Specialist team.Prior to working at Dimensional, I worked with microfinance institutions in Eastern Europe and East Africa and worked with a Dell funded program at the University of Texas that empowers students around the world to change the world with their social businesses. Before moving overseas I contributed to a start-up social entrepreneurial venture in Honduras and worked with a micro-enterprise development group while supporting the international giving of a venture philanthropist focusing on health, education, and micro-enterprise development initiatives across the globe.

Sedera is a Medical Cost Sharing Community inspired by the modern sharing economy.Who said insurance is the only way to deal with medical costs? Sedera is building a new kind of community, one centered on healthy living and sharing the cost of medical care. In doing so, we are able to provide a high-end healthcare experience, delivering tremendous value for members and their families. In the way that Uber changed transportation and Airbnb disrupted the hospitality industry, Sedera is turning the traditional health insurance model on its head with peer-to-peer medical sharing. With medical cost-sharing there isn’t a provider network. There isn’t an insurance company coming between you and your doctor. You share medical funds with like-minded people and receive premium care, through an organization run with compassion.
