From a young age I was very passionate about my hobby which thanks to my Mum happened to be Irish dancing. I loved nothing more than going to my classes and then the challenge of competing against other dancers at competitions. I always dreamed of one day being able to do my hobby as a profession, but never had the self belief that it was possible. Whilst studying Criminology & Criminal Justice at Ulster University, I upped my training with the aim to one day be able to tour the world and perform with a professional show. I've been travelling the worlds as a professional Irish dancer since 2011 and since 2013 I have toured extensively with 'Lord of the Dance.' Highlights include performing on London's West End and on Broadway, New York alongside Michael Flatley who was a huge inspiration of mine growing up. In 2020, I applied for the series 'SAS: Who Dares Wins' wanting to challenge the stereotypes and stigma around male dancers. I beat over 44,000 applicants to become one of the 21 civilians to take on the brutal condensed version of Special Forces Selection. Representing the dancing world, I aimed to show the fitness, discipline, resilience, physical and mental strength of dancers and I wanted to help young upcoming male dancers that struggle with the stigma around their sport, showing that male dancers are tough and powerful. I went on to WIN the Series and pass the selection course showcasing the physical and mental strength or dancers.I am passionate about inspiring others and especially the next generation of kids who struggle to be themselves because of stigma or the thoughts of others. I want to draw on my experiences to help others become the best version of themselves.
