Since May 2006 I have worked as a Study Nurse and a Study Coordinator in the private company Center for Clinical and Basic Research (CCBR). CCBR is a specialist organisation involved exclusively in clinical research and clinical studies and conducts clinical trials for national and international sponsors.I have worked as a Study nurse in more than 50 clinical trials in fase I-IV and I have had the full responsibility as Study coordinator for eight trials.The therapeutic fields have been: Osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, osteoarthrosis, postmenopausal symptoms, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, insomnia, irritated bowel syndrom and constipation.My work as a study nurse consists of – from the regulations of Good Clinical Practice - to take care of the patient visits with interviews of and instructions and guidance to the patients. Also, handling of study drugs and compliance of these and other supplies. Furthermore, to document and transmit all the data concerning the patients to the Case Report Form.As study coordinator it is my job in cooperation with Principal Investigator to have the daily responsibility for the initiation and conduction of the trials.Furthermore, I have participated in Investigator Meetings, close outs and audits.I have the responsibility to monitor all data collected in the clinic and to establish and maintain the Investigator Site File and in addition to cooperate with Clinical Research Associates. In my job I am obliged and serviceminded in a busy day with many patients.Speaking and writing English have been part of my job as a Study nurse and Study coordinator.
