Conor is the Officer Commanding 118 Bn UNIFIL. Conor is an Infantry Officer by profession and has had experience in Africa the Middle East and the Balkans and in various on island operations. He has worked both in the national, multinational, and multi agency spheres. Conor is a graduate of National University of Ireland Galway, Maynooth University and The Military College of the Irish Defence Forces.He has lectured as a Military Instructor in The Military College and has published articles on Security Sector Reform. He has worked at strategic planning levels within the Defence Forces including engagement with multiple agencies public and private. He has also previously commanded 6 Inf Bn & Custume Bks. Conor played schools rugby, county hurling and club football and has trained both senior and junior hurling teams. Conor is currently involved in training youth rugby and junior hurling and football.
