Global Energy Group (GES) September 2014 – December 2014While working for Global Energy Group as a Roustabout I had two trips on the Sedco 711. On this rig I was involved in operations such as rock dumping, spudding in a HPHT well, running casing from catwalk to drill floor using crane and tuggers, performing banksman and slinger duties while doing general deck lifts and working the supply boats, assisting the derrickman by mixing chemicals, relieving on drill floor when necessary. Serimax Agency, Total Gas Plant, Sullum Voe, Shetland - May 2013 – September 2014While working for this agency my initial role was Welder’s Helper involving setting up equipment and assisting welders. This was physical and demanding work to a pre-set timescale. I progressed to Charge Hand and was responsible for managing 10 – 15 men; the smooth running of the welding section and ensuring strict health & safety procedures were followed. Rotation was 19 days of 12 hours shifts with 7 days off.
