In this role, I assist Doctor Persons with the management of her clinic. I help check patients in, collect payments, take notes of their visit with Doctor Persons, assist Doctor Persons while seeing patients in the clinic, and assist Doctor Persons in the operating room. My role in the operating room consists of retracting tissues for her, handing her surgical instruments, and cutting suture ends.

In the Zheng lab, I worked on a project designed to create a treatment for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). The treatment was an inhibitory small molecule that targeted the Disheveled protein in the canonical wnt signaling pathway. I designed a molecule and modeled it using various molecular modeling software. I gained quantitative data in-silico by conducting docking experiments utilizing a deep-learning artificial intelligence model to calculate the binding potential for small molecule therapeutics.

In this role, I volunteered to transport patients around Ronald Reagan Hospital. I transported patients arriving at the hospital, patients being discharged, patients being moved between specialists, and occasionally pathology specimens or hospital equipment.

In this role, I managed the club TransferMed at UCLA. I presented various pre-health-related topics to inform students about resources to assist them in their future careers in the health sector. I additionally managed the club's funds, communicated with the University and other clubs regarding collaborations, and spoke at several conferences and panels targeting undergraduates preparing for professional schooling for a health career.

In this role in TransferMed at UCLA, a pre-med student organization, I was responsible for planning all of the social events throughout the year. I planned events designed to promote socialization within the club and events designed to aid the campus community and greater Westwood area.

In the Guo lab, I worked on a project researching yeast prions. The goal was to transform mutated yeast prion plasmids into E. coli cells and collect data regarding the folding dynamics of these yeast prions. I performed prep experiments in this project to insert specific mutations into yeast prion plasmids. The prions were then transformed into E. coli cells for amplification and aggregation. The aggregates were then studied and characterized using Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR).

My role in this position was to make smoothies and create a friendly environment conducive to customer satisfaction. I was also tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the store and ensuring that everything was either prepared for the day at opening or ensuring everything was prepared for the next day at closing.

In this role, I was responsible for planning a variety of different events for the Honors students at Los Medanos College. These events consisted of social events to provide and promote a community for honors students on campus, volunteering events to help the low-income students on campus and the surrounding community, and award events to recognize the many achievements of the honors students at Los Medanos College.

My role in this position was to restock shelves of grocery items and to organize the display for customers to have ease of shopping.
