We are a team of 10 SRAs (Senior Residential Assistants). In this role, we provide out of hour services to the students who live on UCD Campus, providing this service to over 4,000 students. This role has given me training such as full First Aid training, fire safety training, QPR training (suicide prevention), and training in how to engage in a mediation to resolve conflict.Furthermore, we have to organise events for the students on campus, run the social media pages, respond to mental health and wellbeing concerns of students, respond to emergency medical situations, and create incident reports detailing any incidents that we deal with.We have to liaise with the security teams on campus, as well as 60 RAs (residential assistants) who are divided into smaller teams. It is our job to act as their team leader and are the first point of escalation for some of the more serious incidents that occur on campus
