About Conor James Coady

Conor Coady has over ten years experience in the co-ordination and management of teams working in the education and youth work sectors. With responsibility for the development and implementation of policy affecting aspects of programme delivery, Conor is familiar with current best practice and good goverance. His knowledge of work place health and safety and employment legislation has assisted him in devlopeming confident leadership skills. Conor commits time to voluntary board membership on a number of different boards including - secretary to Drumnigh Montessori school, Blakestown/Mountview Neighbour Youth Project (NYP)(former treasurer) of the School Completion Programme national trade union executive.Conor has worked as a self employed artist/Muralist and art teacher having participated in exhibitions in Seattle, Toronto, Dublin and Germany.Convinced of power of community art as a means of social empowerment, Conor has spear-headed multiple community art initiatives, including the multi-faceted 'Rare Auld Times' and 'Alice in Blanchardstown' projects, which culminated in participation in Blanchardstowns St Patricks day parades and engaged schools and communities in the Blakestown and Mountview areas of Blanchardstown Dublin. Conor is a strong advocate for social justice and equality for excluded or educationally disadvantaged young people. He works hard to support young people with fewer opportunities in a multi agency multi disciplinary manner.
