Working as an administrator in the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence. Duties include administrative functions, events management, and marketing. Providing all round administrative support, pastoral care, web development, and student marketing and recruitment duties.

Sitting on the Board and Operations group of the charity, working to deliver public speaking education and events including the Scottish Mace and St Andrews Day Debate. The charity continues the work of the English Speaking Union Scotland.

As director I am involved in monthly board meetings for the charity. There we decide the plans and activities for the board until the next meeting. We act in consultations and provide a monthly law journal.

As a Travelling Academic I worked with the University of Dundee School of Social Sciences to promote the University and the courses it offered to international students. I organised engaging events for school pupils across the world to show them the possibilities that are available when they study at the University of Dundee. I also gave presentations on the University to prospective applicants, careers and guidance councillors, and agents. I provided social media coverage of events.During Covid 19 I worked with academics on a Pan African version of the competition, using video conferencing platforms to run training and the competition.

My duties as editor are to look at new articles written by students. I evaluate the language and the relevancy of the content, edit it in order to make it ready to publish and provide comments and feedback to authors who's work was not at an acceptable standard to publish.

I was one of four coaches working with Scotland's Telders moot team in 2019. I had meetings with the team to help them with all aspects of the competition, from fundraising to logistics to the academics of the competition. I gave feedback on the work they present and helped write publications for the team.

I worked with the University of Dundee Law School to promote the university in Kenya. This is a developing market for university students. I am helping run an interactive mooting competition for school pupils to encourage them to apply to the university of Dundee to study law. My roles included writing the moot problem and preparing materials for the competition, liaison for schools in Kenya, creating and delivering classes for the schools when in Kenya, and judging the competition. I also did a social media takeover to promote the university and the project. I created an instagram story for the university instagram page that will include pictures of teaching and the competition.

I was coopted to serve as a societies councillor on the DUSA students representative council. I attended monthly meetings representing the interests of student societies. These meetings represented the direction and outlook of DUSA. I was re-elected at the start of the 2017-18 academic year. I worked with other council members to introduce more policies for DUSA. I also worked on the disciplinary council, assessing students who had breached DUSA rules and issuing bans from attending the student union recreational facilities.

I was responsible for the training program for the society and organising the Dundee Mooting championship. For training I introduced advanced training for competitive teams including seeking legal professionals to provide advocacy training. For the mooting championship I involved more first years and allow competitors to moot against people of their own level rather than having experienced mooters facing new ones. I was also a signatory on the society account and am responsible for making decisions for the society if the president in unavailable.

As managing editor of the law review I was responsible for approving all of the paper published in the upcoming winter and summer editions of the review. I was also responsible for the recruitment of new editors. I worked to produce two editions of the law review and ensure that quality articles were published each time.

The DUSA Society Funding Council is in charge of distributing a £40,000 fund to the societies under the Dundee University Student Association. My duties were to look at funding applications and assess them. The factors I looked at are impact to the student body, benefit to the university, societies individual financing, and student accounts. We ensured that the money was distributed to provide the largest benefit to the student body.

I was responsible for the running of debates as well as sending teams to conferences. I took part in training in chairing debates as well as practising chairing for internal topics. I also acted as conference co-ordinator arranging the attendance of conferences, and wrote the training program for the society.

As a legal researcher I worked with an academic to write a report for the Colombian government on international criminal law.My role was to research and write the legal framework portion of the report. I was given a selection of readings and did my own research to extend this selection of materials. The framework concerned the obligation of the Colombian government to prosecute FARC EP guerrillas who had surrendered as part of the peace deal that the Colombian government had signed with them. My section of the report was completed and put into the full report.Utilising the google suite we were able to create a single document that we could all work on at once and edit as we went.

I was appointed convener due to my experience of the competitive debating circuit in Scotland. I have fulfilled duties of sending debating teams to competitions such as the Scottish Pro-Am as well as organising members of the society to act as judges for various competitions such as the ESU Mace. I also run a day-long competition for school pupils from around Scotland.

As President I was in charge of the day to day running of the society. My duties included chairing debates, running training, running the society communication, and convening the Dundee University Schools Debating Competition.

I was responsible for sending teams across the UK to compete in national competitions. My responsibilities included entry, organising travel, arranging moots with other universities, hosting moots, evaluating mooters and choosing teams. The responsibility of hosting moots included booking rooms, arranging printing, hosting a drinks reception, arranging gifts, finding judges (Advocates and Sheriffs) and clerking moots.

As secretary my duties were to manage communications for the society, take minutes for committee meetings and write motions for debates. I was also in charge of running training sessions for the society and for other groups who came to the society for public speaking training.

I worked in the legal compliance department of Wood Group PSN. I was involved in weekly meetings about upcoming changes in law, proof-reading contracts, researching companies that were selected for takeover, and helping write the company wide compliance training.
