Over the course of my career so far, I have spent time in both a sales role and a customer service role. I came to Commerce four years ago from a small engineering firm where I was a liaison between thecustomers (both current and prospective) and the engineers. I was responsible for scouting projects, listening to the needs of the customer, and then translating that to the engineering team to understand their capacity and timeline while allocating funds appropriately. When the company was acquired, I was looking for a new opportunity and came across Commerce Bank through a family member. I started as a Utility Specialist, where I have spent the majority of my time in the Fraud Department, collaborating withAdjustments, as well as Lock Box. Over the last four years I have bounced around the operations department taking every opportunity I can to grow and learn. I have also spent time learning more about myself and have gotten involved with the young professional’s employee resource group specifically on the Communications Subcommittee which has been very rewarding.I am a driven individual with a passion for listening to others. Whether it is on a written contract, over the phone, or an in-person conversation, the “how” is just as important as the “what” incommunication. My communications background in both finance and engineering has taught me that listening is the key to supporting customers and employers (and now my fellow team members in EMERGE). I really enjoy talking to others, understanding their needs and determining how I can best support them. I am looking forward to more experiences to contribute to the success of the organization.
