Took responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly staffing levels, as well as providing upper management with input with regards to hiring additional staff. Additionally, worked with external stakeholders in order to resolve payment issues between agencies and staff. Furthermore, I was heavily involved with delegating and overseeing the recording of 2 years worth of documentation as the Covid-19 testing programme in Northern Ireland came to a close. On top of that, multiple times I was tasked with creating public social media advertisements for external stakeholders to announce the location of our mobile testing units.

This supervisor position placed me in charge of ensuring IPC (infection, prevention, and control) on our entire testing site. As part of this role I needed to liase with various internal and external stakeholders from site/regional management, onsite staff, and HSC representitives. A very accurate attention to detail was needed, not just with regards to the systems set in place, but also in observing the actions of staff to ensure new rules were followed. In order to ensure the implementation of new guidance, I was often tasked with the creation, administering, and recording of training programmes. In order to keep up with the training of over 100 staff, I had to create and maintain online documentation systems, as well as Excel tables. Additional IT skills were required in order to create posters and signage for use on our site, making use of programmes such as Microsoft Word, and Canva.

In this role I was part of a team tasked with the crucial delivery of Covid-19 testing at Northern Ireland's (at times, the UK's) busiest site. This ranged from data collection and analysis, to very sensitive customer service. Furthermore this required strict adherance to government guidelines, whether in regards to following health and safety procedure, or in our interactions with the public. Working long hours, each day of the year was also required for this job as it was a year-round public service, meaning a necessity to be willing to work anti-social hours in harsh outdoor conditions.
