Throughout my career I have been driven by the need to make a difference, achieving tangible results and outcomes. During my professional life I have held senior roles in banking, spanning Treasury and Commercial Banking functions. I have built, led and developed talented teams that have contributed to achievement of major performance improvement and development of successful strategies. In addition to my main corporate roles, I have served on product, risk and finance committees with NatWest Commercial Bank and held advisory board membership of a leading US fintech company. My recent executive appointment was an FCA regulated role.My technical banking knowledge includes deep understanding of numerous complex products, services and multiple customer requirements that can often change suddenly and quickly. I typically work across numerous internal colleague groups, senior leadership and other stakeholders in order to achieve progress. I influence very high level decisions and strategy and have shaped significant change indirection that has been required to meet new challenges and opportunities.I am motivated by intellectual challenge and relish working within large complex environments that provide scale of challenge, diversity of people and problems, and the chance to be part of highly talented and capable teams. My leadership approach is based around high standards for myself and others, mutual respect and my core values of integrity and doing the right thing. I want people to enjoy their work, feel valued and have the opportunity to develop skills and realise their potential. I firmly believe in having a rounded approach to life and keeping a strong sense of perspective. In addition to my day job, I have, since 2014, served as volunteer emergency responder with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. In early 2022 I joined London Ambulance Service as an emergency responder. This experience has really enhanced my leadership, operational and crisis management skills in an environment that is totally different to my corporate career. I am also a lifelong sports fan, in particular rugby and mountain biking, and have held honorary life president, trustee and treasurer roles for Woking Town FC.
