I am an ambitious and results-driven Biomedical Engineering graduate, soon to embark on a Master's degree in Biofabrication at Utrecht University in September. Throughout my professional and academic journey I have gained a diverse skill set and have over a year of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. One of the highlights of my academic journey was my final year bachelor's project, where I developed a 3D-printed solution for DNA solid-phase purification, showcasing my research capabilities and acute attention to detail. This project not only demonstrated my research capabilities and attention to detail, but also allowed me to explore the potential applications of additive manufacturing and microfluidics in the medical device field.In my most recent engineering-related role as a Reliability Engineering Intern at Bristol Myers Squibb, I led a project that successfully extended calibration intervals across the entire site, leading to a significant saving of approximately 400 hours of manpower annually. This role honed my abilities in data processing, analytics, and project management, and culminated in my achievement of a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.During my time in college, I actively participated in various clubs and societies, and served as a committee member for the DCU Rock Climbing club for two academic years. In this role, I assisted new members with their inductions, provided support during training sessions, and organised trips to competitions and events.I am proficient in multiple software and applications, including Maximo, DeltaV, SolidWorks, Ansys, Excel (including Power Query), Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Lists.My professional interests lie at the intersection of biofabrication, additive manufacturing, and medical device innovation. I am eager to further my knowledge and skills in these areas, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
