My interest in software engineering started at the age of 16 when I taught myself Java to create simple applications and games. I studied for 2 years at the Galway Technical Institute (GTI). As part of the Erasmus+ program I worked as a website designer in Krakow, Poland. I finished with a Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Network and Software Systems.I went on to study a BSc (Hons) in Computing in Software Development at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) for 3 more years where I graduated with First Class Honours. Studying at GMIT helped further my knowledge in a variety of programming languages. I developed a deep understanding of Declarative & Imperative programming, the methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, the Software Development Process, and the mindset of a Software Engineer.With over 5+ years of experience, I've developed skills in Java, C/C#/C++, HTML & CSS, Python, MySQL, AWS, Data Structure & Algorithms, Software Development, Problem Solving and much more.
