I lead a team in providing communications support for the delivery of the more than $4 billion Regional Rail Revival program. I oversee a range of communications for internal and external channels, manage reputational risk and develop and execute plans and strategies to promote and support Rail Projects Victoria’s work to upgrade every regional passenger rail line in the state.My responsibilities include:- developing, managing and implementing effective strategic communications, media relations and issues management strategies- providing advice to senior Rail Projects Victoria staff and Ministerial advisors to identify, prepare for and manage reputational risks- leading a team that conveys complex concepts and information by researching and writing original media releases, articles, speeches, briefs, reports, correspondence, publications, presentations, web content, advertising and other communications materials- liaising with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute media events for the Minister for Transport Infrastructure and regional MPs- leading the media management function for the RRR program - compiling regular reports to satisfy governance requirements.

Responsibilities include:Managing the internal and external communications requirements of Country Racing Victoria, including social media and digital marketing.Providing CRV member clubs with strategic and practical media and communications advice and support.Driving positive media coverage of Victorian country racing through effective media relations and regular media appearances on radio and television.Writing news stories for regional newspapers, providing story leads to news outlets and editing and publishing news stories for the CRV website.Preparing speeches, presentations, talking points and other material as required for CRV business leaders.Developing and implementing communications plans for major country racing events and campaigns.Ensuring all marketing communications are accurate and consistent with CRV brand.Providing media strategy, advice and support to senior business leaders of CRV.Providing clean and concise copy to suit various business functions including marketing communications, government submissions, media releases, major events and the Country Racing Victoria website.Collaborating with industry peers to identify and make full use of public relations opportunities.Maintaining relationship with CRV's engaged creative agency to ensure timely workflow and production.
