Football Talent Scout

Tranmere Rovers Fc - Chinese Football Association

Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China

Over the course of Two Months i was given the opportunity to Scout talent on behalf of the CFA (Chinese Football Association) at a Football Tournament held in BaoTao. The Entrants of said tournament were School teams from all different regions of InnerMongolia, Players ages Ranged from 16-19. The objective of the Scouting was to Recruit 21 Players aged between 16-18 to take part in a Training camp hosted by the CFA in Guangzhou with the hopes of recruiting new talent to professional clubs. As a talent scout i was required to: Develop a method to scout Talent which aligned with the requested criteria requested by the CFA .Develop a ranking system from which i could score individuals on their performances throughout games i have watched.Develop a system which would decide how i would watch each football match allowing me to scout more effectively.Develop a criteria of abilities for each position which i could scout and also add extra abilities and play styles which would define an individual player for later reference.Watch a Total of 20 games over a month the 2 games per day one being played in the morning and another in the early afternoon. Scout Training sessions during days where players prepared for the next match, then report on what each team was working on hoping to get deeper insight into a team/players mentality.Cross reference findings with colleagues as to our discoveries and which Players/Teams should be continued to watch and what/who should be watched during future matches. Help to develop a schedule which benefitted all scouts allowing for best scouting results i.e. making sure all scouts saw each team play at least once.

Head Football Coach

Rose Hill Rovers Jfc

Stockport, United Kingdom

My Final Progression at Rose hill was when i was awarded total control of the team as both a manager and a coach, this was agreed upon by both the Club and the parents of the players whom felt due to working with the team a long time and developing a good relationship with everyone, i was best equipped of all candidates to lead the team forward. I felt that i was ready and able to take this role as i had watched and learned much from the previous managers. My role and responsibilities as a manager/coach were as follows:. Demonstrated a high level of respect for opponents, officials and facilities.Complied with the FA rules and regulations at all times.Accepted Management, constructive criticism and recognition with humility and composure.Recruited Players of the highest calibre to elevate team performance, as well as developing the ability of long serving players. Enforced discipline both on and off the field.Developed game plans and adjusted them according to various game situations.Developed guidelines for injury prevention.Recommended and ordered equipment, supplies and uniforms.Selecting a squad of 15 to play each weekend according to performances in training and matches. developing a system as a manager which would maximise game time for all players allowing them to gather valuable match experience. Working on and developing different tactics with the team to use during Various transitions, Times, Circumstances in the game i.e. Attacking positioning, Defensive positioning. As the manager i felt that a constant squad rotation of players for matches was the best method to improve players as by doing this, it balanced team morale and player experience. I also gave each player the opportunity to select themselves positions, this placed a level of responsibility on them to perform as best as they can to ensure they play in their chosen position ahead of others who prefer a similar role.

Football Coach

Rose Hill Rovers Jfc

Stockport, United Kingdom

Overall i worked a total of Six years with Rose Hill JFC. With Rose Hill JFC i progressed massively as a coach and in doing so i noticed more and more opportunities open up to me as i improved. This was my first independent coaching role where i was allowed to express myself as a coach and find a coaching style that suited me. To begin with i was recruited as an assistant coach to the U8's team coach who required assistance due to the number of participants, My roles as assistant coach were basic, Such things as:Helping to set up pre planned activities/drills created by the lead coach to move on to reducing downtime of the players.Offering encouragement to the players whilst they took part in the sessions.Helping weaker players complete the task at hand thus developing their understanding of the game.Helping demonstrate drills allowing the lead coach to stay with the children and explain clearly how he wants a drill to be completed. Over time i was allowed to take on more responsibilities and became what i would consider a Reserve Coach. Planning and delivering Drills and games focusing on aspects of the game in which the group were weaker whilst ensuring the players remained interested and enjoyed the sport.Working with the players to develop technique and ability with the objective of moving some of the most improved into the more difficult sessions. Developed session plans that would help to teach players how to react to various game situations preparing them for the opportunity of match play. After a full season as the reserve coach the club had decided that they were going to create an additional team to accommodate the increased number of new players joining our team training. I Proposed that i was to take a squad comprising of both newer and lower ability players due to this new team starting in the lowest league, also that it would be a great opportunity to see the team improve and progress.

Introductory Football Coach

Footy4Kidz

Stockport, United Kingdom

Footy4Kidz were my first employers as a football coach and i began working for them as of the start of my second year of College upon obtaining my certification of level 1 in football. Footy4Kidz was a fantastic chance to learn how to work alongside and with a full team of coaches and learn a basic but fun style of coaching which i could use to teach the basic techniques in football whilst allowing the children to have fun. The method of coaching here was to spend minimum time doing Official technical drills and instead play many games which involved using basic techniques this allowed the children to progress at a steady pace but most importantly at a young aged kept them interested in playing the sport. As an introductory coach my roles were as follows: Sparked imagination by helping children discover new things about football each day.Create and use games to teach the basic techniques of the game.incorporated fun stories/characters that relate with children to help them understand games and rules whilst increasing the amount of fun.Encouraged children to be understanding of and patient with others.Established a safe play environment for the children.Engaged with children on an individual basis in a pleasant manner.Promoted good behaviour by using the positive reinforcement method.Administered medication and minor first aid to ill and injured students.
