As Research Analyst at Qualtrics, I oversee the day to day processes and duties of several market research projects at any given time across a diverse group of clients and industries. These roles include but are not limited to: study scoping and design, survey design and programming, quality control of collected data, analysis and reporting, and communicating findings to clients. On top of these duties I serve as the primary person of contact throughout the majority of each project, and actively anticipate client wants and needs in order to address them before they arise. On top of core duties as a Research Analyst, I am also heavily involved in identifying areas of inefficiency and constructing tools and process for streamlining.

As Administrative Assistant my role is to assist the Billing and Facilities Manager in their daily tasks, including but not limited to: Sorting and organizing files, preparing discharged files for shipment to offsite storage, updating database software (BestCase) to reflect status of discharged files, preparing and mailing invoices, and maintaining facilities (shoveling snow, salting sidewalks, painting, etc.) Here, hundreds of pertinent documents pass through my hands. I am responsible for ensuring that lawyers and paralegals are able to recover the correct documents, undamaged, from the storage site. I do this by confirming that the correct case is updated on BestCase to reflect the change, and that the correct file is sent offsite, as well as making sure the files being sent off site are not in use. I am also responsible for assisting the Billing and Facilities Manager in sending invoices through mail to the clients, and maintaining the facilities, both inside and out.

As a Graduate Research Assistant, I work with a professor to compile and summarize academic research related to the effects of various inputs on stakeholder engagement. I also ensure that said secondary research meets standards and criteria for current research topic. I am also responsible for making sure my research complies with any and all guidelines and protocols pertaining to academic research.

Heritage Commons

As cashier at Heritage Commons, I was responsible for ensuring that customers enter the cafeteria as quickly as possible and that when they left, they did not leave with any of the cafeteria's belongings. I was also responsible for all cash and credit transactions that take place as customers enter the premises. Handling customers and the cafeteria’s money could be stressful at times, but it helped me to better understand handling a company’s money which will translate into a valuable skill when I am responsible for the budget of a project. As the first person that the customers were greeted by, I have improved my customer service skills as well as my communication skills by needing to effectively communicate with my bosses about the company’ finances.

While working at Brody Square, I learned a surprisingly large amount of valuable skills that will help me adapt into a more professional setting. Since I was the one responsible for preparing food for the customer, I learned a lot about interacting with customers and anticipating client’s needs. I also learned how to effectively communicate with upper management and other workers. I can now effectively delegate tasks among my coworkers when it is required. I better understand how to work as a part of a team through my experiences working with other students and full time staff. I learned how to better handle my own personal finances, which have translated into my promotion to cashier.
