Joined VisionR in the first months of founding to work on all levels of the tech stack. Designed and implemented the data pipeline on AWS and data collection methods on an IoT device, accounting for over 100bn datapoints processed for customers. In addition to this, I set up and maintained centralized logging/alerting infrastructure, CI/CD using Github Actions/Docker, and hosted our internal services. I also created PoCs of data visualizations for customers, and worked closely with fundraising efforts, in both a technical and non-technical capacity.

Toast is a hardware and software solution for restaurant management. I was a member of the Loyalty and Gift Cards team where our primary focus was supporting third party loyalty/gift card systems, and building out Toast's first-party offering. The primary skills in use were Java based web services, Android development, SQL, and data analysis/visualization.

People's data is being bought and sold behind their backs and they are seeing none of the reward while having lost all control over who can access it.Metro provides ethical data collection. Users can decide what specific data they want to sell, and who specifically they want to sell it to. After that it passively collects this data and sends it to Metro who forward it to the buyers directly so there is no risk of us compromising your data. You then have the option to claim the money your data was sold for yourself or contributing any profits you make from sale of your data to a charity.

As part of the Telemetry Acquisition team we were responsible for the consistent, timely delivery of crucial status metrics used to power healthchecks and alarms for all of AWS. I worked on a number of components, with ownership of one portion of the delivery pipeline. I worked primarily in Python and made many improvements to my product - Improving product health by adding unit tests, CI and documentation. Improving performance by analyzing metrics to find bottlenecks and reducing time to deliver metrics by half under certain conditions and upgrading the product to Python 3.

Gained valuable experience with Splunk, FitNesse and Appium while operating in an agile environment. I also learned specific domain knowledge related to funds, managing investments, stocks and bonds and made multiple presentations covering my work to my team and others.

Zürich, Switzerland

I interned with Google Zürich where I worked on an internal search quality tool primarily programming in C++. I worked with Big Tables and MapReduce technologies and got invaluable experience of working in a dynamic, innovative work environment.

I contributed to the Apertium Project during my participation in the Google Code-In 2012. Apertium develop rule-based machine translation software with a particular emphasis on dying languages. I worked closely with a number of developers in the project and made many contributions to their repositories. The work I did involved data mining/parsing, learning about machine translation, general projects in Python and Bash, and familiarizing myself with the SourceForge system.
