The Quest For Wisdom started as a personal blog when I went travelling to Brazil but it gained some traction, reaching over 5,000 unique visitors in the first 6 months and so it began to develop into a mental health brand. It is a long term project and passion which will be developing slowly over time. The Quest For Wisdom Podcast launched in January 2023 and will be interviewing interesting people from different walks of life about their paths towards wisdom.

This was a high intensity KPI based role with hard targets and objectives which changed weekly. I was consistently the highest achieving member of the team and averaged approximately 20 hours of voluntary overtime per week. This was a new project and so I experienced first-hand the challenging nature of organising and developing a fresh team for a multi-billion dollar company. We were incredibly dynamic as we were implementing new procedures almost daily and constantly evolving.

Working for a company called Travelzoo within the Centro de Comunicaciones de Bosch in Barcelona I take calls in English and Spanish and attend to any complaints, queries or feedback from our customers. As well as this I try to maximize sales by finding specific deals to entice customers. I also build rapport with our partners so that together we can deliver a perfect experience for our customers. I am the youngest member on the team but after only 4 months on the project I was offered the position of Senior Agent. This means that I help carry out the tasks of the Team Leader when he is busy or out of the office. I also help to train new members of the team and deal with Live Escalations and any major problems that occur in the project. As a Senior Agent I also offer advice to the Team Leaders and bosses of the company about policy changes and new ideas to improve the project.

Yo trabajaba en el proyecto de Travelzoo, cogía llamadas en inglés así como en español y atendía a las preguntas y quejas de los clientes. Además, trabajaba con nuestros socios para fomentar una relación con el fin de ofrecer una experiencia fenomenal a nuestros clientes. Después de unos 4 meses trabajando para la empresa me ofrecieron el puesto de Agente Senior. Como Agente Senior realizaba las tareas del Gestor del Proyecto cuando él estaba fuera de la oficina o estaba ocupado. Ayudaba a formar a los nuevos miembros del equipo y me encargaba de resolver los problemas graves, (los cuales se llamaban "Live Escalations"), de manera rápida y eficaz. Como Agente senior les ofrecía a los jefes de la empresa mis consejos y sugerencias sobre como mejorar y desarrollar el proyecto.

I have been involved with various tasks related to promoting the university to potential new students, including unaccompanied visits to other colleges and tours of the university. I have also been involved with helping new students in study workshops from which I have learned communication skills and have gained the confidence to make presentations in front of large groups of people. As a peer mentor I have helped my mentees with any problems they have faced throughout the years, including help with coursework, exam preparation and general stress.

My main duties were analysing the market using Google Adwords and other online tools in order to create an effective and ever changing marketing strategy. I was also an assistant to the accountant and helped with things like pricing, especially regarding the price of our online marketing, as well as updating the website and helping with a lot of translation from Spanish into English. I spent a lot of time speaking to clients on the phone in English and Spanish and helping with any issues they had with either the website or bookings.
