I devise and deliver campaign strategies and ensure that media and communications work is first-rate across the board and tells the stories of people trapped in conflict who cannot tell their own. I work with campaigns teams and myriad partners across the globe to drive innovation, measure success and capture learning. I support staff and our wider network to maximise political impact through media work and ensure media excellence across all campaigns and media materials.

London

• Established a new team to coordinate and streamline media products, messaging and outreach across Save The Children's Global operations. • Lead for global media response to Syria crisis. Commission And produce media materials (press releases, films and b-roll, photography, op-ed, infographics, etc.) for translation and dissemination across the 120 Countries in which STC operates. Have written op-eds for high-profile advocates, including Desmond Tutu, Stephen Hawking And Haile Gebreselassie, that have been published across the globe, includingin the Washington Post, Sydney Morning Herald, Guardian, El Mundo, La Repubblica, etc. • Work on a daily basis with campaigns, advocacy and humanitarian staff to monitor ongoing external environment and execute appropriate responses. • Mentor and train country and regional offices to improve their communications systems and media outreach.

Dublin, Ireland

• Led on campaigns and media responses to humanitarian emergencies and international operations for Ireland’s largest NGO. • Acted as organisational spokesperson during deployment to crisis zones, including Haiti, Darfur, Zimbabwe and Burma, conducting research and offering high quality interviews to international media through traditional and new media platforms. • Part of team that won Public Relations Institute of Ireland’s ‘Best Integrated Campaign’ Award, 2009.

Global

• Divided time between Dublin and various countries of Africa, freelancing for Irish media and consulting for Irish NGO, GOAL International• Contributed written articles and radio packages from where the news was: Zimbabwe during the currency crisis, DRC during the first democratic elections, Darfur, etc.• For GOAL, provided on-site support for staff as well as content including photographs, case studies and other materials, including online content and fundraising materials.

Sydney, Australia

• Consultancy position with Sydney’s largest FM station. • Using audience research and workshops, collaborated with producers and on‐air talent to focus on the station’s image and ideals and how to translate those into quality, audience-­‐focused output. • Wrote scripts and planned on‐air promotions, competitions and branding.

Dublin, Ireland

• Produced award­‐winning daily news and current affairs show aimed at Dublin’s youth audience, the first programme of its kind anywhere in Ireland. • Set the daily agenda, formulated positions and arguments with on‐air talent, wrote scripts and questionnaires, supervised booking of interviews and managed research team of three.• Project‐managed outside broadcasts and other promotional events around the city.

Belfast & Northampton

• Produced three-­‐hour daily light‐news programme, including setting agenda, booking guests, long‐term programme planning and project­‐management of all outside broadcasts. • Managed research team of two and project managed special events and programmes, such as BBC’s contribution to major local festival.
