About Conor Mcauley

As a content creative Intern at RTE, I worked on various digital media projects and social media campaigns, to engage and inform audiences. I used my communication, creativity, and technical skills to produce high-quality and accessible content, in collaboration with other media professionals.I am also a disability advocate and a public speaker, with a strong desire to raise awareness and challenge stereotypes about people with disabilities. I have Duchenne, a form of muscular dystrophy, which makes my life and work a challenging balance, but also a rewarding and meaningful one. I have been involved with the Hear My Truth group with the National Youth Council of Ireland, and a leader with the Irish Wheelchair Association, working on the Daisy Program with them. I have also been an assistant producer on Night Time talk with Niall Boylan at Ireland's Classic Hits Radio, where I shared my insights and opinions on various topics. I have a passion for learning and achieving in whatever I do, while making meaningful relationships with my colleagues and the public. I have a degree in Broadcasting & Media from Ballyfermot College of Further Education, and a certificate in Film Production from Coláiste Dhúlaigh College of Further Education. I am a football fanatic and a big Liverpool fan, and I have been to Anfield and other football grounds to watch games across the UK. I live my life to the fullest, with drive and passion, and with good people around me.
