From my years of experience at Boeing as an IT Project Management Specialist I've gained extensive knowledge in managing projects and portfolios. In my time there, I’ve gone from managing one project to five. My first project had me wearing multiple hats and operating as a scrum master in addition to my normal project management duties. Over time, as I took on more projects, my role changed and became more of a portfolio manager. This had me responsible for coordinating with upper management to provide updates and meet their needs to keep each project running smoothly. One of my most recent projects included taking over a major consolidation effort for three of my previous applications. This focused on building a more stable and cost-effective application that could combine and replace them. Earning an MBA with a focus in technology management, I’ve also gained valuable experience in how to improve business operations, form strategies, market new products, and manage IT departments. A decade of experience as a film director and a BA in film production has given me great insight into project management by managing large teams of people, staying under budget, and meeting deadlines. My certificate from the University of Washington for Project Management helped me strengthen my knowledge of project management methodology by developing a project plan for a new product including scope, risk assessment, scheduling and cost/benefit analysis.
