About Conor O Mara

Mr. Conor O’Mara is the Managing Director and Head of Global Technology Specialist Sales for Jefferies & Company, and a member of the QD5 Board of Advisors. Mr. O’Mara has three decades of experience as a portfolio manager and Asian technology investor. He started his career at RCM in 1994, where he served as a global fund manager before launching Europe’s first independent technology research firm, Arete Research. Mr. O’Mara has since worked in Asian technology portfolio management at Halbis Capital Management, Balyasny Asset Management, and Morgan Stanley before joining Jefferies & Company in 2011. He is also active in the Irish expat business community. Mr. O’Mara is the former Chairman of the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and is the current Local Representative for Asia with the Irish Funds Industry Association. Mr. O’Mara holds a BA in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University and a MSc in Finance from the London Business School.
