Day to day management of multi-disciplined team of mechanical, electrical and prototype engineers.Responsibilities included:• Department budget control and high level reporting of all engineering project status.• Detailed resource planning of all engineering activity to ensure compliance with company sales and project planning.• Concept and detailed design approval authority.• Creation and management of company design standards and processes.• Compliance of department operation and output with BS9001 approved company quality management system.• All vehicle homologation and management of relative company procedures.• Engineering staff recruitment and appraisal reviews.

Managing design projects and creating engineering solutions in accordance with detailed customer specifications.• Creation and release authority of detailed design drawing documentation and full BoM data utilising Solidworks CAD and bespoke PDM and MRP systems.• Organisation and co-ordination of design reviews and all specification validation processes.• Ensuring project compliance with all relevant legislation and health and safety regulations.• Production assembly and installation documentation.• Technical support for Production and Service departments.
