Throughout my years in academia the subjects that always grasped my attention most fully were my marketing classes. There I learn the inner workings of promotion and campaigning in numerous capstone sales classes, and I found that the skills from marketing are so versatile and powerful that they can be used anywhere. At the start of my journey through Academia, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Google/Youtube Content Creator Partnership program which gave me a stern understanding of Google AdWords and Analytics. The daily operations of a internet content creator is Search Engine Optimization though tags, Ad placement, Photo/video editing, and updating your following regularly on social media about the content. In conjunction with my education in Marketing, the skills I learned from Google/Youtube are invaluable in the modern internet marketing landscape.As the years progressed, there began another entertainment media website that gained traction and in 2014 I decided to expanded into the new content medium, live streaming through Twitch.tv (Amazon.com). In this partnership I started to interact with my audience in real time, able to handle issues and comments efficiently and effectively. I also learned a more advanced handle on Photo editing through programs like Photoshop or GIMP. This was a point where I developed my skills in Online Branding and Community management, and to this day I still sharpen this skills saw. Content Creation of all kinds are a passion of mine. I am a musician at heart, and am always creating new songs that try to push my boundaries and knowledge. I have written online for blogs, forums, social media, and websites. In academia, my writing always received note from the graders for having a professional yet expressive tone. Both my traditional education in Marketing and my self driven hands on experience with the online social marketing have proven very relevant in the corporate social media environment.
