As a financial lead for a major business improvement project implementing SAP, I worked closely with senior management to ensure successful project delivery. Reporting to the MD, I provided key account management for major clients and served as the lead commercial contracts manager. Melbourne & Nz

Initially recruited to support the Sydney business, I transferred to lead the opening of the Melbourne and NZ businesses from a financial perspective, securing and arranging financing for the properties and building out financial, operational and human capital frameworks to support growth. I held full responsibility for the financial performance of the Melbourne and NZ offices, presenting quarterly reports of business performance to the STW Group. I provided commercial support to the MD to assist with strategy development, operations management and general business development planning, as well as overseeing non-financial departments such as HR. I was fully accountable for all governance and statutory reporting and successfully negotiated commercial contract with major IT providers in the marketplace. • Supported launch and ongoing operations of two profitable start-up businesses from scratch;• Acted as the key driver in the creation of specialised digital offerings for SEO and SEM;• Negotiated the signing of a major new client, Webjet, securing a primary revenue stream;• Established a financial framework to support profitable and sustainable growth.

An end-to-end financial management position responsible for a high value business portfolio, my core mandate was to provide financial support to the corporate business, including corporate reporting, budget preparation and strategic business planning. My role was to provide vital insight to the sales team to provide a fresh focus and approach to business development as well as mentoring a finance team of five to perform at peak. • Drove a focus on customer retention, stabilising the P&L by providing insight and higher quality financial data to the sales team;• Project lead for the implementation of a business intelligence system, managing a team of experts to create a relational database to align information and store business intelligence data;• Brand ambassador for the company, presenting at the company’s annual Controller Conference in Germany and featuring as a cover story (‘The Chic Geek’) in The Sydney Morning Herald.

Reporting to the CFO for Asia, I provided financial governance for large scale commercial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policy, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and IFRS. I oversaw the maintenance of timely and accurate revenue recognition accounting and renegotiated non-SOX compliant contracts or those outside the scope of delivery, working with legal to deliver fully compliant, commercial contracts. • Achieved US sign off for Asia Pacific SOX compliance, beating the deadline and delivering within budget;• Successfully led SOX training, gaining early commitment and building understanding to the project.
