My primary role as an Account Manager is to be the first point of contact for the client and ensure their needs are being met. I am tasked with ensuring the customer understands the data that they have access to by analysing and providing key insights into the data primarily in the FMCG industry for multinational companies. There is a strong focus on finding the golden thread within the data and packing it to help maximise customers opportunities. This requires a solid foundation in statistics, mathematics and technical skills. A solid understanding of the data from all steps of the process from collection to delivery to client. This required a strong technical understanding of the technological environments that our teams utilised. ● Ensuring customer competency through training clients on relevant and available systems.

As a Senior Development Economist, I managed all facets of the project development process which started at project inception through to the implementation of the project or programme for both private and public sector. I was the primary point of contact for clients and focused on delivering an excellent finished product based on the client’s needs. Primary duties included: ● Overseeing all aspects of project management (planning, resourcing, research, stakeholder liaison, and client interfacing) for public and private sector● Management of multi-skilled project teams for high-value projects (multi-million Rand projects national priority projects)● Managing workload and delegation of tasks to junior members of the project team● Composition and development of the final deliverables for clients (reports, presentations, maps, progress reports, multi-media presentations, databases)● Use of various economic tools and techniques to determine relevant outcomes such as: (Economic impact assessments, Retail demand modelling, Housing demand assessments, Socio-economic impact assessments, Management of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartography related tools – ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and related plugins)● Presentation of findings and results to clients● Assist senior management in developing proposals and quotes for prospective clients.● Trained in the Agile methodology for project management.

I was at the forefront of the research and design of economic based projects for clients in this role. Worked as part of a team together with Junior and Senior Development Economists in order to deliver high quality products that provides clients with a deeper understanding of their field. I developed experience in numerous fields including information technology, renewable energy, agriculture, cooperative and small business development and property (residential, commercial industrial and medical). An Information Commons Navigator is tasked with assisting staff and students in utilizing the library and the associated resources to the fullest. It involves aiding students in computer-based activities, searching catalogues to locate resources for users and ensuring that the technical equipment is maintained and functioning correctly.

This role included the facilitation of practical groups as well as small group tutorial sessions. A demonstrator would assist students with queries during the session and assist lecturers in assessing the work completed during the sessions.

As the head demonstrator and tutor my responsibilities included assisting lecturers in organising the practical and tutorial sessions for the week. I was in charge of a group of demonstrators and tutors and would be required to check the standard of grading and be required to enter grades into a database. I was also charged with assisting students in the work adn grading projects and assignments.

Sub-wardens are required assist the warden in the daily running of the residence. I was involved in issues of discipline administration and planning. I assisted during house meetings and often had to chair the meetings. I was also a represented the residence during hall meetings and was part of the planning body of the residence.

The primary task of a Psychology Tutor was to facilitate small group discussion about the work that had been covered in the previous weeks lectures. Tutors were also required to mark projects and assignments that were given to students.
