Tier 2 Support TechnicianJob Summary: As an activation engineer and tier 2 technical support I was responsible for configuring equipment, troubleshooting equipment, requesting new equipment, directing field service technicians, communicating working with project managers and activating services within the Accel Service Delivery department. I actively maintained triage communication while finding the best plan of action to resolve a client’s needs, whether it was seeking a resolution with a service provider or dispatching a field technician install new equipment.Responsibilities:• Maintain a thorough understanding of RF, IP, and VoIP services.• Configure and setup routers, modems, and optimize wireless antenna.• Direct field services through proper installation of hardware using pre-defined specifications.• Collaborate with other organizations on best practices.• Occasional on-site customer installations as needed.• Ensure proper documentation of all installed components.• Assist in upgrades to CPE equipment as needed.• Perform upgrades, changes, and disconnects for existing customer base.• Escalate troubles to vendors/service providers when appropriate.
