Extremly exciting rejuvination going on Main Street, Hyannis. Through the hard work of the Barnstable Planning and Developement, Hyannis Business Incentive District organization, the Housing Assistance Corporation, a supportive Town Council and multipke involved small and large developers Hyannis is experiencing a long awaited resurgence. The Mall in the seventies drew people away from Main Street. Now we have Lenar Homes with over 300 apartments at one end of Main Street and at the busy east end we have numerous smaller developements taking place. Cape Build is finishing 60 units on Pleasant Street and JackTrade is in the planning process of 200 units at what is considered the gateway to Hyannis where the Ferries, the Transportation Center and the Harbor converge to make for a potentially enormous shift to a once again vibrant Main Street.
