After 3 decades in and around the conservation world and a passion that stretches back even further, my aim is to enlighten people from around the world on the workings, aims and goals of front line conservation.Born and raised in London, UK. I have worked on, coordinated and been involved with projects throughout Africa, Bangladesh, the Russian Far East, The USA and Europe.My association with CCF stretches back around 18 years including working at the international headquarters in Namibia as Operations Manager for 5 years and Director of Conservation and Outreach for the past 5 years including managing the expansion/capacity building facility in Somaliland in 2019 and developing and producing Cheetah TV, a platform for audio visual media online in 2020 to the present day.I have lectured internationally to schools, colleges, universities, zoos, public events and presented on TV and radio.With a specialty in holistic conservation, I’m a passionate advocate of the practices that embrace the balance of the ecosystem with the collaboration and success of all stakeholders.I’m a passionate speaker that enlivens the crowd with elements of fun and humour but never detracting from the importance and severity of the subject. Drawing on years of front line experience and collaborations with international conservationists, I am driven to enlighten and educate supporters, the public and the next generation of conservationists into the workings of successful conservation operations.Real conservation is conservation that succeeds and is sustainable. It's very diverse and brings many skills, projects, disciplines, initiatives, people, aims and goals into a cohesive achievable strategy for the survival of people, animals, the environment and the future of life on Earth.My talks and presentations are aimed at looking at the broader aspects of conservation that will explain how totally focusing on the target species, whatever it may be but obviously in this case, “The Cheetah” is not the sole answer to the long term survival of a species. A holistic approach to conservation is the key to the future any species…humans included!
