In- Country Safeguarding & Pshea Officer
CurrentThe position involves developing policies and frameworks related to Gender, Safeguarding, and PSHEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Harassment, and Abuse). This includes creating work plans and training materials aligned with Global Safeguarding Standards. Ensuring Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) is integrated into all programs and operations is a key responsibility. Response and reporting mechanisms for safeguarding incidents must be established. Organizing trainings on Gender Equality, safeguarding, and PSHEA is to be provided to staff, partners, and associates. Conducting Risk assessments should precede any events involving staff or program participants. Managing reported safeguarding cases is part of the role, as is advising the Country Management team on program/project planning and implementation. Organizing campaigns to prevent violence, child labor, and Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (SHEA) is also necessary. Collaborating with program staff to ensure safeguarding and Gender inclusion are considered during project implementation is another aspect of the position
