My responsibilities included: Creation of a centre of excellence for all technology activity within Racing Victoria, bringing together all technology under one structure and develop and implement a structure to optimise the effectiveness of technology resources and aligning technology with the wider business, whilst building a continuous improvement culture. Implementation of a Project Management Methodology and the creation of a Strategic Projects Office with the responsibility of managing projects from inception to production, ensuring that Racing Victoria was investing in the correct areas of technology.Manage software and system development, using internal and external resources as appropriate, to develop and enhance digital products and ensuring that this development responds to the needs of customers. Manage the relationship and delivery of the broadcast and data networks across head office, racecourses and broadcast partners and the delivery of media streaming services for Racing.com Oversee and enhance all Technology Policies and procedures including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards and purchasing. Creation of an Enterprise Mobility Framework with the aim of integrating mobility in to the organisation and employing it for maximum impact, whilst also ensuring that it was secure, scalable and supportable.Develop, track, and control the annual Technology budget, business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for Technology spending and initiatives.
