I payed invoices for new computer installations. I served as the Trusted Agent (TA) for implementation and management of DOD Public Key Infrastructure. I was responsible for INFO SEC procedures and user training being implemented in support of DOD PKI. My job included Information Security management for WAN/LAN/Internet and electronic communications. I ensured that users understand the responsibilities associated with the possession of a certificate, and agree to abide by the established rules. Provided guidance on command programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to security policies and procedures. I provided network security support to 20 users and 3 servers.Developed local guidance and procedures for implementation of mandatory technical standards. Program Manager for Windows Integrated Automated Travel System (WINIATS), Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS), Defense Milpay Office (DMO), and National Standard Integration System (NSIPS). Responsible for the overall management and accountability of all computer systems and LAN peripherals. I also provided support for our remote sites that connect using our VPN gate to connect to our NSIPS server. Provided training, consultation and technical support services to functional analysts, remote processing customers, configuration management personnel, etc. Created Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Government off the shelf software & Commercial Software for use throughout the command. Installed, configured, and maintained the operating systems environment including systems servers and operating systems software on which applications programs run. Provided technical support to customers who need advice, assistance and training in applying hardware and software systems. Acquisition, technical acceptance, installation, testing, modification, or replacement of telecommunications equipment, services, and systems.
