Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Fiber Designer for our Design & Planning Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position. Essential Job Functions:Designs and Drafts design details on a differing electronic media - Bentley, AutoCAD.Strong Spatial/GIS ability in applications such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, and Google Earth.Understanding of Fiber Design specifications from various architectural formats that range from differing vendors along differing concepts including splicing documentation and hub FTP reconciliation.Serves as technical liaison for construction and technical operations group.Prepares charts, graphs, and sketches of vertical details and SOW documents in various formats.Documents as-build updates for project reconciliation.Review Design considerations for both short term and long term needs in relationship to node sizing, powering, and addressing.Draw accurate routing conclusions that reflect cost estimate for the availability request.Perform other duties or responsibilities as required or assigned.

• Assist Project Management team with tracking, updating and reporting project related activities for Sprint SNV project. • Update and maintain technical databases for management report generation, including Site Handler, SRM, and Ericoll • Monitor Site Handler software to report issues to PM team and assist with data uploads which include time/cost limits for project scope• Manage ERFs (Equipment Release Forms) and all documentation pertaining to site builds

Primary Responsibilities include:Provide accurate detailed circuit map information for various Verizon customers. Research existing system routes using multiple resources and software programs such as Microstation, ICON, Map Info. Google maps, existing electronic CADD files and hard copies of previously built route information.Designing OSP fiber routes for various Verizon customers utilizing ArcGIS platform, Network Engineer. Insuring the newly researched information is incorporated into Data base. Create various tracking reports,orginize existing documents dating back over 10 years. other administrative duties.
