Responsible for management of the following areas: Physical Plant Operations; Accounting and Bursar’s Office; Campus Public Safety, Purchasing and Procurement; Human Resources; Mailroom Services; Facilities Rental; Transportation and Switchboard Operations.Coordinate efforts with the President’s executive leadership team to provide strategic direction for the areas of finance and administrative operations.Responsible for developing and administering University Operating and Capital Budgets as well as auxiliary operating budgets for residences halls, the early childhood center, and miscellaneous agency and grant operations.Member of the President’s Cabinet - responsible for development and implementation of strategies and goals related to the effective operations of the University. Responsible for reporting monthly financial and personnel reports to the Board of Regents and Board Audit and Finance Committee. Responsible for preparing State Budgets and Financial Reports submitted to the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) and participating in Business Officer meetings to monitor and ensure adherence to state statutes and other policies as established by the MDHE.  Responsible for aligning academic, fiscal and operational activities with the mission, strategic plan and priorities of the Board of Regents, as well as state and federal performance goals for the University. Conduct bi-weekly meetings with the Executive Leadership Team inclusive of all Vice Presidents, University Relations, and Sponsored Programs leadership and bi-weekly meetings on alternate weeks with the extended Administrative Leadership Team inclusive of Deans, the Comptroller and the Director of Human Resources. Represent the University at state and federal higher education policy meetings as well as civic and community events in the region. Engage with local community to promote a positive image and reputation of the University and ensure access to available resources to improve services. Initiate, foster and encourage partnerships and collaborations with the corporate, government and non-profit entities to generate funds, student development, employment and service learning opportunities.
