If you were to ask me in high school what career I wanted to pursue, Wellness and Health Promotion would not have been my first choice. After I lost 38 pounds I found the importance in weight loss and living a healthy lifestyle. While I was changing my eating and exercise habits my family followed as well, as a whole we lost more than 100 pounds! After loosing the weight with Weight Watchers, I was offered a job as a receptionist at the centers where I am able to weigh members to help them through their journey to a healthy lifestyle. Throughout my college classes I took the knowledge that I have accumulated and put them towards two major projects: Short, Sweet and Fun to Eat Cookbook and Good Times with Fruit and Vegetables BINGO. Both projects were based at the Baldwin Center in Pontiac, Michigan to promote a healthy lifestyle from children to families. This will make way for my future career goals in wellness and health promotion.
