An environment artist gravitated toward storytelling game levels, nourishing ambition to enter the game industry through self-taught Unreal Engine 5 for 2 years.➡︎From Architectural visualiser to GameIs there a game you love that has changed your life?For me, Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’ ‘s infectious environment design has rescued me from depression. Since then, I determined my life goal to design immersive scene sets that can bring life-long unforgettable experiences for players, to spread the euphoria of powerful games which cannot be found in architecture.I pride myself on my 2 years of professional experience in architectural modelling in Tokyo and Hong Kong, which gives me an advantageous sensitivity in creating 2D layouts, atmospheric 3D environments, and awareness of level principles to facilitate gameplay. I am best known for triggering audience’s emotions through exquisite combination of storytelling 3D spaces, music and real-life stories, which gained sincere tears from 60% of the audience for the final level project I designed.➡︎Ubisoft’s Level Art Training (2023 Nov -present)I am currently in an online training program at Ubisoft to upskill myself to industry standard, focusing on PBR, low+high mesh props production and cinematic set dressing. Enjoy the most talking to specialists in other fields(eg. Sound design and creature design) in industry events like WASD and Develop:Brighton.
